Introduction

The Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications was established in 1998 as the Department of Computer Systems and Communications. In 2009, the Faculty was renamed the Department of Computer Networking and Communication (CNC). On September 29, 2022, the CNC department was changed to the Faculty of Computer Networking and Communication according to the resolution of the Council of Can Tho University.

The Faculty's staff is highly qualified (including 01 Associate Professor, 06 PhDs, and 11 Masters). Most of them were graduated from developed countries with advanced education. The CNC faculty has been in charge of training two undergraduate majors in the field of information technology. Besides, the Faculty members have assisted in teaching, evaluating training programs, and guiding master/PhD students of other universities in Can Tho and provinces in the Mekong Delta.

Our members are actively involved in scientific research with significant sources of research funding both on and off campus . We have experience in participating, consulting, and managing scientific research projects at different levels, many of which have been applied in practice. Moreover, the Faculty members and students contribute to scientific research through publishing books, book chapters, as well as articles/reports published in prestigious journals and conferences with ISI/Scopus indexing or belonging to the list of articles scoring by the State Council for Professor Title.

The Faculty has always focused on training and developing successors. Many Faculty members have been awarded scholarships to achieve higher education degrees and to improve their qualifications in advanced countries in computer and information technology. Our lecturers regularly participate in seminars and short-term training programs for updating knowledge as well as new technologies.

The Faculty members are dedicated in imparting knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Networks and Communications, while equipping students with good values and attitudes for their future careers.
